I miss the 90's....

Watching Russia deteriorate to what it is today makes me extremely sad. When people openly start to remember the 90's as the "bad" years it makes me realize that a country that was made for slavery just can not step over it's genetic shortcomings.
During the "wild" we all had dreams, we all had friends, and most important of all we honestly felt it was going to get better. I was young ambitious, idealistic and i felt free in that wild insane country.
Putin turned into a jail for anyone with intellectual potential, unless you are a bureaucrat, cop, a friend of the system , or just a dude who has a high tolerance for risk like Mr Chhodorkovsky used to have you are living there on borrowed time. Some people do it for money others hate silently.
I do not hate i just feel extreme sadness when i think what could of been.
When Putin he came to power i said it will take him 20 years to destroy the country completely. I think was overly optimistic in my assessment.

  1. For anyone who has been as fanatic about New Soul genre of music as i have...
There has always been one artist who has never received the credibility he deserved Omar Lye Fook is an amazing British singer with the most unique view on Harmony. He has not been popular, he has received universal praise from Stevie Wonder to most of the greatest Jazz/Funk/Soul artists of the past 50 years. HE has continued to perform and blessed with music that will be understood much later.
A true visionary, the most underrated contemporary musical thinker of our time i strongly suggest for you to listen to his music even if the genre is not something you are in love with.
